I first heard of Silver Ash when I listened to a song I downloaded called Organum. The beginning of the
song is an organ compilation, which reminded me a lot of Moi dix Mois. But, WOW!, when he started singing I realized it was
in Chinese! I had never heard a Chinese band like this perform ever before. That’s because there are no other Visual
bands in China. But perhaps, this will be the start of a new musical era.
Silver Ash’s sound is more soft and flowing than anything else. To compare it to another band,
I’ll use the famous Visual Kei group MALICE MIZER. Now, Malice Mizer had a much more classical ring to its music, but
the same soft and flowing idea still applies here. For anyone who likes soft rock, you should definitely check out this band.
(You can always send me a message and request a song of theirs on the MUSIC DOWNLOADS page)
Like I said before, Silver Ash promotes a Visual Kei style look. (though, not as feminine as some bands)
In all of the pictures I’ve ever seen them in, they’ve always been wearing black. But not just a plain boring
black look. Many of their clothing’s styles cling to their bodies and accentuate them in such a way it provides a visual
shock on stage or in pictures. They remind me a lot of Dir en Grey.

The Band with Luci, now an ex-member |
Silver Ash
is comprised of four band members. (there used to be another, but he dropped from the group) The band members are Ling 凌 as the lead vocalist and band
leader, Yue as the head guitarist, Hong 虹 as bass, and Zhen 帧 for the drums. Ling appears to have the most passion for Visual Kei above all the others, as one of his favorite bands
is Dir en Grey. He composes the songs and lyrics as well as designs the costumes for his band. So he’s pretty busy.
