Klaha

Klaha, most well known for the being the former and last vocalist of Malice Mizer, has taken on a new project. This project, titled with his name, shows all his fans he’s much more than just a band vocalist.

Klaha started out with Pride of Mind, a new wave type of band, which was formed in 1993. At this time, Klaha used his real name: Masaki Haruna. Three years after Pride of Mind’s forming, they broke apart, leaving all the members to find new careers.

Four years after, in 2000, Klaha joined with Malice Mizer as their new vocalist. However, he was not fully introduced as Klaha, but rather the “Fourth Blood Member” as he is credited with in the “Bara no Seidou” album. It wasn’t until later that he was fully introduced to the Malice Mizer fans as the offical vocalist.

When Malice Mizer disbanded, Klaha went on to become a solo artist, creating a new sound for himself. Many people tend to say, “He’s a Gackt copy-cat!” Which I strongly disagree with, simply because, the music JUST ISN’T THE SAME. Gackt is copy-catted throughout the music scene, but Klaha isn’t the one who’s doing it.

Instead, Klaha’s sound is more jazzy and mellow with powerful vocals that express his true musical talent. Please, do not be deterred by the Gackt-Klaha ideas. Klaha really does sound different, despite what all your friends might say.

Personally, I would prefer Klaha to Gackt anytime. (Don’t hate me. I’m just being honest.) Klaha is a bit similar to Gackt, in that both their solo careers went a bit more “poppy” and their look maybe a bit similar. (Though, Klaha generally doesn’t prance around in skin-tight alligator pants… -_-) The sound is, none the less, a unique one on Klaha’s part. Check to see if any of his music is on current rotation here.
