Above are the band members of Pierrot
The word "pierrot" is French for a theatrical pantomime; pronounced
"p e e- ro".
Kirito hasn't always been the vocalist for the band. In 1994, after Kirito and
Jun formed the band, the line up was Hidelow for vocals, Jun and Kirito for guitar, Kohta for the bass, and Luka for drums.
In that same year, they released two demo tapes, each with a few songs.
Later on that year, Luka left and Takeo replaced him. With Takeo, they release
their first indies album, "Kikurui Piero". Pierrot continued to go on as an indies
band, having various tours and albums released all the while. During this time, Kirito makes a switch to vocals. Later,
in 1998, they switched to a major label with their heightend poplularity.
Since then, they have held strong with popularity not only in Japan, but overseas
as well. Pierrot will have their Final Tour "Final Decision" at the Nippon Budoken which will be there for two days in
January 2006.
