Malice Mizer with Tetsu

About Malice Mizer:

In August of 1992, one of the most infuential bands in the Visual Kei world was formed. The instigators, Mana and Kozi. The two friends, after breaking away from their previous band called Matenrow, recruited Yu~ki and their first drummer, Gaz. With this line up of band members began the "Tetsu Era". A few demo tapes were released, with no vocals, and after that, they released their first offical song "Speed of Desperate". Later on, Gaz left the band to join Kneuklid Romance (another band) and Kneuklid Romance's drummer, Kami, joined Malice Mizer. Now, with their new drummer, they released more demo tapes and their very first album: Memorie in 1994 on the Midi:Nette label. Memorie DX was released shortly after, with only one bonous song at the end of the disk.

After some "creative differences" Tetsu had with the band's co-leader Mana, the vocalist left Malice Mizer, causing them to go into a one year hiatus.

And so the Gackt Era begins...
Gackt joins Malice Mizer in 1995 under the name of "Count Camui", but he is eventually better known as Gackt. In Malice Mizer's supream reign of the Visual Kei world between 1995 and 1999, they released one single, two albums, and a short movie/PV featureing the band. Despite Gackt's popularity, he left Malice Mizer to begin his own solo career simply known as "Gackt". He is still going strong to this day, with a hefty fan following, across the world.

If things wern't low enough at this point, Malice Mizer suffered even more hardships with the death of their good friend and drummer, Kami. (Kami died of Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, a disease which causes a vein to burst in the brain. In many cases, smoking is the cause of this disease.) In memorium of Kami, they release three songs in a compilation that he wrote, called "Shinwa".

Klaha's Era...
In the year 2000, Klaha accepts the position of lead vocalist from backup vocalist, though he is not officialy introduced as such until their live, Nippon Budoken. Before then, during the making of their album Bara no Seidou, he was only credited as the "Fourth Blood Relative". They create their first major motion picture, "Bara no Konrei" ("Bridal of Rose", in English) and released three singles. Malice Mizer disbanded on December 11th, 2001, all memebers deciding they would like to walk their own paths.
